Message from Chairman UNSA: Hon. Emmanuel Omugwa, HEG/Sub MTC, S6 Arts 2016

I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the leadership of a great institution of learning such as this one. I would also like to thank my fellow students who put their trust in me to carry on with a noble cause.

As Chairperson of the Students’ Council I cherish servant leadership and personally work steadfastly with all students because I am convinced that foremost among the qualities of any leader is hard work. Indeed, on top of our agenda as students’ council is to tirelessly work to promote the welfare of students as well as to ensure that students and teachers maintenance a cordial relationship. To do this, UNSA intends to purchase a glass notice board and table cloths to be used during assemblies.

Perhaps, in recognition of this unity inspired leadership, I was elected chairperson Soroti District Executive Council – UNSA. While in this position, I did not let down the legacy left by my predecessors. I must cite the planting of hundreds of mango trees in many schools in Soroti District.

In conclusion therefore, I have come to believe that human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable, but every step requires sacrifice, tireless exertions and a passionate concern by those who lead.
