To students of Teso College Aloet, a public holiday is one of the happiest moments because the school administration ensures that students are recognized and catered for during such occasions. The students feel loved and appreciated when the members of the school administration treat them as their own children. As such, it contributes to the academic excellence of the school.

Some notable public holidays in Term One are: Easter period, which runs for four consecutive days of pleasure and enjoyment, and Awards Day, when the best performing students, subject department and clubs (among others) are rewarded according to their excellent performance. We crown the term with the school Sports Day, when the most athletically talented students are sorted out to make the school sports teams.
For second term we have Alumni Day, held every 9th July when the Old Boys of the school come back together to commemorate with pride its existence since 1954. Other public holidays in this term are: Women’s Day held on the 8th March, and Eid for Moslems, among others.
Third term we celebrate Independence Day on 9th October. This is also the busiest period at school, with both students and teachers preparing for end of term examinations and, above all, UNEB examinations.
