The Head Teacher‘s Visitation Day Message for 16th July, 2016

Dear Parent or Guardian,

You are warmly welcome to visit your son. Please, take note of the following:

  1. Find the report cards for the end of Term I Examination with your son’s class teacher. Results for S.1 and S.5 students are for beginning of Term II tests.
  2. Parents and Guardians should use the visitation day to advise their sons on matters pertaining to discipline and academic work. The school administration organized three motivational talks, geared towards discipline and academics, with students of S.3 and S.5, S.4, and S.6, separately.
  3. Parents and guardians of S.2 students should attend a careers meeting with the school administration and staff on the same day, beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until 12:00 noon, in the West Wing of the school.
  4. Our school, Teso College Aloet, celebrated its Foundation Day on Saturday, 9th July, 2016. The ceremony to mark 62 years of the school‘s existence was graced by the Alumni (old boys), who spiced the occasion with candle lighting, inspirational speeches and, later on, crowned it with a football match between the staff and the Alumni. Starting from 2014, the old students of Teso College Aloet come together every 9th July to fundraise for the physical development of the school and to inspire students in their academic struggle.
  5. Teso College Aloet participated and did well in the National Post Primary Copa Coca-Cola Football Championships, 2016, which were held in Soroti.
  6. Teso College Aloet also participated in the 2016 District Athletics Competition and emerged third in the boy’s category. Four of our students qualified to participate at the National competitions being held in Rukungiri district.
  7. The Music, Dance and Drama team also participated in the Regional Competitions, held on 14th July 2016 in Soroti district, and emerged first out of the nine participating schools. The team will then represent Teso Sub Region at the National Competitions, to be held in Mbale from the 23rd to the 25th July, 2016.
  8. The student leaders of Teso College Aloet traveled to St. Mary’s College, Kisubi, for bench marking on Monday, 9th May 2016, and shared their experience with other students.
  9. Ensure that all outstanding fee balances are cleared. Defaulters will be sent home on Monday, 18th July 2016, without further excuse or pardon.
  10. We regret to inform you that some ill-disciplined students burnt down the school generator on Sunday, 3rd July 2016, at 11:00 pm. The culprits were rounded up and handed over to the police, who are now handling the matter.
  11. The school will close for Term II holidays on Wednesday, 31st August 2016, at 8:00 am. Arrange to facilitate your child‘s journey home with transport money.
  12. We wish you a good time and a safe journey back home.
